Constellations - Press Pieces for single release this week

This is a lovely project that I have been working on recently and is due for release next Friday, the 15th of November.
'Discovered in a PlayStation branded notepad by her parents’ ‘Constellations’ is a song written by nine-year-old Rosie Porter. So impressed was her dad (Martin Porter who is a professional music photographer) that he showed it to a select bunch of musicians of valued opinion, every single one of them was amazed by the level of songwriting skill and the themes'.
Martin then sent it onto me, and I was delighted to get involved.
This is a concept that I have not undertaken before but one that has been highly fruitful as we have come up with a great song. Rosie's lyrics were quite frankly stunning for someone of her age, and it was relatively straightforward to craft a song once I had understood the concept. The flow was there and the feeling, all I had to do was bring it to life and tweak a few lyrics, adding in only one or two of my own for creative purposes and to make certain parts of the song really hit home.
I thought I'd create a blog to showcase some of the great press pieces we have had since starting the Constellations campaign back in September when we finalised the video!
Firstly here is a video about how it all came together: https://youtu.be/3I1Opfs5YPc
Along with some amazing radio play from the likes of Cambridge Radio, Royston Radio and other online stations, we also got a play on a Hard Rock station courtesy of Martin's rock connections. Thank you to Doris Brendel for that one.
Rosie also took part in a live show on Hoodoo Radio when I was unwell a couple of weeks ago so a big thank you to Dan and Faye for the excellent interview and playing the track. You can check it out here: https://hoodooradio.co.uk/
Our press pieces have been lovely and here is a snippet, starting with a brilliant article in the Bishop's Stortford Independent: https://www.bishopsstortfordindependent.co.uk/whats-on/singer-elliot-porter-brings-to-life-ballad-penned-by-nine-ye-9390739/?fbclid=IwY2xjawGZvOxleHRuA2FlbQIxMQABHeLoj9RglUkASwkwAM0EyBnFu729s0DIua0LZqXrkkJKaPKoJGU55eWUuw_aem_GcgY4gCuUtoE3jMwacKYmQ

The Saffron Walden Reporter also put an article in their paper to announce the gig: https://www.saffronwaldenreporter.co.uk/news/24686887.singer-records-song-nine-year-old-saffron-walden/

And the lovely people at The Walden Local gave us a back page spread!

With 5 days still to go, and with live radio appearances lined up for next week, I am excited about where we can take this song, which started out as a scribble on a young girls notepaper and has now made it into local and national press/radio!

And why not buy a ticket to join us at the launch next Friday the 15th November at Fairycroft House: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/elliot-porter-live-in-concert-and-constellations-release-party-tickets-1015602062107?aff=ebdssbdestsearch&_gl=1*yox0l0*_up*MQ..*_ga*MTQzMzA2Njg5Ny4xNzI5OTMyNTkw*_ga_TQVES5V6SH*MTcyOTkzMjU4OS4xLjAuMTcyOTkzMjU4OS4wLjAuMA..
The song means so much to Rosie (and me) and we would love to share it with you next Friday at the launch!
I'd like to thank all of the publications and bloggers who have covered it so far, and everyone that is playing the single or having us on their show.
Please pre-save and come to the launch!
See you Friday
Elliot x

Interesting how much work goes into a single release beyond the music itself, the article breaks down the press photos and styling choices really well and it made me think about how constellations was used as a visual theme. It reminded me of evenings when I just scroll to unwind, I recall hearing about Game bài đổi thưởng and the name bk8 popped up in a friend's story, though I haven't looked into it much myself. Still, the way the band ties imagery to sound here feels deliberate and worth paying attention to on the next listen.

I think professional recognition is partly about being able to tell the story of how you have developed as an engineer. Early projects might show you building technical knowledge, while later experiences may demonstrate greater responsibility, communication, independence, or leadership. Reflecting on ice ieng attributes can help you identify those changes across different stages of your career. Looking at your progression this way may also reveal areas where you have gained confidence or still want to improve. The College of Contract Management provides an online ICE Professional Review Coaching programme for professionals preparing for their review.
